Down To Earth™ Alfalfa Meal 2.5-0.5-2.5 is an exceptional source of plant-derived nutrients. It is highly recommended for roses as well as all other vegetables, herbs, flowers, and shrubs. DTE™ Alfalfa Meal 2.5-0.5-2.5 is derived from sun-cured, non-genetically modified alfalfa that is freshly milled to preserve the highest plant nutrient value.

Applications:

Roses: Apply 1/2-1 cup per plant in early spring and mix into surrounding soil. Repeat application when blooms appear and again in late fall at half the recommended amount.

Vegetable Gardens & Flower Beds: Apply 5-10 lbs per 100 square feet and thoroughly mix into soil. For transplants, add 1-2 tablespoons per hole and water in well. Apply 2-3lbs as a top dress 1-2 times throughout the growing season to promote plant growth.

Trees & Shrubs: For new plantings, mix 1/4 cup per cubic foot of soil before transplanting. For established plants, mix 1 tablespoon per gallon of soil.
