BioWorks BotaniGard Maxx Insecticide
BioWorks' BontaniGard Maxx formula eliminates and controls insect infestation using live spores from a naturally occurring fungus toxic to insects. Once the live spores come into contact with the insect, the spore germinates and penetrates the insect cuticle for the fungus to grow within. BotaniGard Maxx works at all stages of insect growth, however, it is most effective at the early sign of infestations. Compatible with most insecticides and fungicides on the market.

BioWorks BotaniGard Maxx Insecticide
BotaniGard Maxx contains live spores of the naturally occurring fungus, Beauveria bassiana Strain GHA and natural pyrethrins. Live spores and natural pyrethrins can be harmed by storage at high temperatures or contact with water for more than 24 hours. For use in controlling Whitefly, Aphids, Thrips, Spider Mites, Psyllids, Mealybugs, Leafhoppers, Weevils, Plant Bugs, Borers, and Leaf-feeding Insects in Field, Agronomic, Vegetable, Orchard Crops, and more. Can be applied aerially. Suitable for use with ultra-low-volume application equipment.
Mode of Contact:
BotaniGard Maxx acts by contact. Spores attach to the insect, germinate and penetrate through the insect cuticle. The fungus then grows rapidly within the insect, causing mortality. Pyrethrins exert their toxic effects by disrupting the sodium and potassium ion exchange process in insect nerve fibers and interrupting the normal transmission of nerve impulses.
How to Apply:
Begin treatment of crops at the first appearance of the insect pest. Typically, it takes 2-5 days after the first spray to see control. Application rates, frequency, spray coverage, and insect numbers impact the speed at which acceptable control is achieved. BOTANIGARD MAXX is most effective when used early before high insect populations develop. Reapply as necessary under a pest management program that includes close scouting. If possible, apply in the early morning, or evening hours. The reduced UV exposure and lower temperatures will increase the performance and reduce the impact on pollinators.
